M.A. Curriculum and Teaching (2000)

Michigan State University
Secondary Teacher Certification (German & English)

My multi-cultural experience and knowledge of multiple languages gives me unique cross-cultural insights and perspectives into both teaching and research. I have taught English, German, Spanish, and French as a foreign language internationally in Australia, Germany, and Japan, as well as in New York and Texas. For example, I have taught ESL to German adults at the Frankfurt Volkshochschule, a cultural transition course to incoming students at the German School in White Plains, NY, German as a Foreign Language to Japanese adults at the Goethe Institute in Japan and to secondary students in Australia. I have additional experience in business environments abroad advising on cultural transition between American-Japanese, American-German, and German-Korean cultures.
